With an industrial investment of $ 2.4 billion and $ 575 million in the formation of the forest base, the plant primarily meet the European and American markets. Reference in technology, the Empress Unit has two dryers and two lime kilns, which enable greater operational flexibility, greater stability in production and increased competitiveness. To put the unit into operation, our company had recognized suppliers of services and equipment such as Metso, Siemens, Pöyry, among others. To drain the pulp, its own rail spur 28 km will be used, the North-South railway and Carajás railroad, the latter two administered by Vale. In February, we held the first shipment of pulp produced in Empress Drive, to the United States. 11 900 tonnes to three separate ports were shipped from the Port of Itaqui in São Luís (MA). The Empress factory occupies a total area of ​​1.5 million m2 and 96 000 m2 of built area.
